Louisville Metro Parks
Objective of the Project:
Metro Parks’ mission is to create a City of Parks where people can play, learn, grow and be healthy. This is accomplished by taking care of park properties, providing safe and diverse recreational programs, and by protecting these wonderful resources for future generations.
McNary Group assisted Metro Parks reach its goals and prepare for a new project to remove disparities and create equity in the use and value of nature in the city.
The Scope of Work included:
In order to help the Metro Parks reach its goals, McNary Group created a survey of community residents in vulnerable neighborhoods, assisted with planning survey administration, and created a final report with survey findings.
McNary Group then designed a community summit, and provided facilitation for the Children in Nature Network Project.
